Finally there are only a few days left until we can meet our American friends again. I don’t think that it is an exaggeration if I say that we have been waiting for this trip since we had to say goodbye to the BT kids at the airport. We only spent a week together but it was more than enough time for us to become close and good friends. It was one of the hardest things to let our new friends go home. Nobody wanted that week to come to an end. There was only one reason that helped us stay positive and it was the knowing that not so far in the future we would meet again. Now that there are only three days until our flight to Baltimore everybody is so excited. I think we almost only talk about this trip.
About three weeks ago we started to have meetings. Our teacher told us all the information we had to know about the trip so that we could be well prepared. They discussed with us the work we had to do before our flight to America. Every one of us volunteered for one or two jobs. The whole group loves playing with small kids so we were very happy to hear that there would be an opportunity to play games with the fourth graders.
I think we all want to do our best and show everyone how thankful we are for this opportunity and for the chance to meet our friends again. Based on the week we spent together with the BT kids I think it will be one of the most amazing weeks of my life. We wish we could be already in Baltimore.”
