Interdisciplinary Mentoring Consultants

One primary professional development objective designated by SOS International is to provide network educators customized and personalized support to improve upon best teaching and learning practices. This objective is accomplished by the in-person and virtual online services the Interdisciplinary Mentoring Consultants (IMC) provides. Our most recent in person mentoring progam took place in Poland in March 2024.

In consultation with SOS International, the specific disciplines are determined by each network school. For example, the interdisciplinary model could be based upon a STEM, STEAM and/or hybrid platform that might also include Administration, English, Hebrew, Judaics, School Life and/or Wellness or be a la carte professional development disciplines.

Each faculty member is accountable to their school administration and consultant for the implementation of individualized professional development plans.

Goals and objectives may include though not limited to the following:

  • Deepen educational purpose and commitment.
  • Foster personal growth and professional development.
  • Provide professional development opportunities which broaden subject area scope and relevance.
  • Offer school specific topic-based demonstration lessons, courses, study groups, seminars, webinars and/or workshops.
  • Improve the delivery of educational services through a cohort environment.
  • Provide educational materials, resources and information packets.
  • Expand cultural and professional linkage with SOS International network schools.
  • Ongoing virtual consultation and support.
