After a long journey from Las Vegas, we arrived to a warm welcome in Budapest. We had a chance to meet our partner colleagues over a lovely Kosher dinner. Of course it was wonderful to put a face to the name behind the emails and to start to get to know Szonja and the other educators more personally, but more than anything I was struck by the many similarities I discovered between my school, The Adelson Campus, and between Lauder-Javne. The more we spoke around the table, the more I realized what a perfect fit our institutions are; we share many characteristics and goals, however, each of our schools are looking to enrich students’ experiences by “pushing” for progress in different areas. I cannot wait to start exploring our similarities and differences, and to get to know some students during our first day of school tomorrow.
