I am so sad, but it was our last working day. In the morning we went back to the Beth Sholom ECC. We visited the groups, and we could see how they prepare for the Shabbat. It was very interesting to be part of the Shabbat Sing in the different age groups.
During lunch, we talked with Mara, Michelle, Meredith, Elaine, Glynis, and our east European friends about the shared experiences and the new opportunities for continuing studies of the Reggio program. We are very happy, that we could be apart of this amazing group. We learned a lot and we are eagerly looking forward to the next steps. But we know, we have to be patient and we have to go forth step by step.
Mara’s devotion to the cause was so so powerful! It fascinated us again! She was so helpful, and she organized a new meeting at the Washington Hebrew, where Bori is working. Bori is a Hungarian Reggio inspired teacher. We met her at the Reggio conference. It was very interesting and useful to hear about her experiences of Reggio inspired teaching. She took us to Renee’s house.
In the evening we went to Kabbalat Shabbat to Renee’s family. We could be a part of a very familiar and heart-warming Shabbat dinner. We will never forget this evening.
Now we are on a train to New York City. There, we will have a dinner with our new European friends, Vanessa and Dalia.
Thank you for the opportunity, for the hosting and for everything.
I know and I hope we will meet soon.
