This past week brought me the opportunity to work closely and get to know educators from Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania. As an American born child of Polish Holocaust survivors, I grew up understanding that Jews were responsible for one another and that we must help Jews all over the world to thrive. I never dreamed that one of my avenues to fulfilling that goal would be through my work with SOS International: Enriching Jewish Identity; by collaborating with colleagues throughout Eastern Europe. This experience has given me a new purpose post-retirement, and has brought me great personal satisfaction. I am grateful to be a part of such an amazing organization and doing such meaningful work. ~ Fran
