This program engages and encourages diverse American and European Jewish Day School students to develop meaningful impactful bi-national partner school relationships; assist students in defining and deepening personal Jewish identity; apply experiential Judaism values to 21st century Jewish life; implement unique innovative Jewish community service projects; and develop leadership skills.
The Gesher Ambassadors Program has three primary components which enable the GAP mission goals and objectives to be realized: (1) Once per month standardized pre and post immersive seminars; (2) bi-lateral bi-national GAP Club Zoom meetings once per month which are devoted to establishing and cultivating interpersonal relationships, providing informal social activities and joint seminar discussions; and (3) American and European partner schools immersive on-site travel.
All interested High School students are eligible to join their school’s respective GAP Club, which is a prerequisite for the Immersive Travel component. Students are eligible to receive community service hours.
