Had a wonderful rehearsal with the band today! Worked on listening across the band and not just to themselves. Always knowing who has the melody and when, is important and this helps as we follow the phrases musically. Following this fun rehearsal, I met with the 6th graders for the first time. Great thanks to Attila for preparing his students by listening to the song and singing along to the recording. This helped tremendously as they are the strongest yet with the verses! During this rehearsal it was apparent that I was overambitious with translating part of the song into Hebrew, so I have made modifications to make it more accessible to the younger students. Piece by piece we are putting this wonderful project together and can’t wait to have everyone together to share in the experience on Friday! Take a sneak preview here
