Perspective

In life, every second is precious. We must savor these moments that make us happy to be alive. For me, one of these moments was my Budapest Eye ferris wheel ride.

When we landed in Budapest, I felt confused. It looked just like DC but smaller and older. But, after spending 3 days in this beautiful place, I realized that this city is not only unique but also mysterious. The countless memorials opened my eyes to the events of the past and the pride Hungarians have.

Ending my day after walking 7 miles, Zsolt, one of the English teachers at SSG, agreed to take me and some others to the ferris wheel. This large structure overlooked the beautiful palaces and antique buildings that covered Budapest. My stomach, full from the gourmet lunch meal, danced in my body as I approached it. Although I am not scared of heights, ferris wheels pose a potential danger, especially since it looked old. However, I pushed those thoughts aside and joined my friends on the massive ride. A rush of adrenaline surged as we reached the top. The golden light emanating from the various buildings fueled my curiosity. I will never forget this scenic view. The ferris wheel went around 4 times and, each time, the incredible view amazed me. I would not trade this experience for the world.
