A great two days at a conference organized by SOS International Early Childhood Morim Program. The beginning of September I started with the new knowledge and motivation, which awesome educators – Mara and Shelley gave to me. Mara’s session about the image of a child and teacher and presentation of the philosophy of Reggio Emilia was very interesting to me. The holistic approach to this method, its historical background and the presentation of the concept of global psychologists, determining the role of the teacher and the place of the child in the method of Reggio Emilia’s work, was very clear and legible. I listened to Mara’s lecture with great pleasure. Shelley was focused on the work of the director and the leader. We talked about emotional intelligence, the director’s work, difficult situations. A great session with priceless tips. A very interesting topic about Jewish values, in which Shelley gave the most important information in a simple and accessible way. Interesting stories, cooperation, and discussion have resulted in a long list of Jewish values, human values. The conference was in a very nice, friendly atmosphere, among friends. People for whom working with a child is a passion. We could feel it all the time. Even at short breaks, we discussed how to work better with the Reggio Emilia method. Thank you for these fantastic two days, Mara Bier and Shelley Remer! Thank you SOS International! Gosia, Early Childhood Director, JCC Frajda, Krakow, Poland
