We started the day with davening. Afterwards, we visited classes like American Literature and American History, which were very interesting for us. Then the final preparations for the classes started. We were all very nervous to teach. First, we taught the 6th graders about the Hungarian Jewish community. Afterwards we played a game called ‘To tell the truth’ with the 9th graders. Then we had the pleasure to engage in a game with the 3rd/4th graders about Hungarian geography, music and architecture. We had so much fun playing with them, they were the happiest people I had ever met.
When school ended, we gathered in the Schuster Chapel. First, we visited Sweet Frog and ate ice cream which we could design and then weigh. Then we got in the car and met in the Mall. We saw a lot of amazing stores such as Forever 21, Sephora and Bath&Body Works, which we don’t have in Hungary. We also took a look at H&M and stores that had more options than we do at home. Our last stop was at Savers which is a thrift store in the city. They had everything! Some people found a lot of fun stuff. After thrifting we all went home. Thursday was full of programs and we enjoyed every second of it.
