In these difficult times, marked by the conflicts in Israel and Ukraine where our loved ones are suffering, our hearts and thoughts go out to those faraway places. Despite these challenges, we recognized and accepted our differences and decided to come here together. Today’s journey is about learning new things together as we navigate through chaos. Our goal is to transcend boundaries and create standards of quality with the goal of creating an intelligent and compassionate society that we will educate future generations of hope. It is in this shared moment of exploration and understanding that we find strength and purpose, to create an environment that fosters positive change.
A recent visit to the JCC was a rich experience filled with exploring Jewish values and celebrating Jewish holidays through the lens of Reggio Emilia We explored various spaces, connecting with wonderful individuals, we learned new ways to communicate with kids, we found ways to incorporate Jewish elements that went into documentation. Later, our meeting with the PJ Library revealed an interesting perspective on Jewish families, shedding new light on the possibilities.
The day ended with a series of workshops led by our wonderful mentor Lyndall Miller, whose openness and genuine enthusiasm captivated us from the start. We talked about trust in terms of Jewish values and cooperated with our surroundings, opening new ways of seeing ourselves, drawing conclusions from our identities and redefining what it meant again. This experience enhances communication in our community and fosters a friendly atmosphere in our work with children.
