Look, Look Mommy!

Look, look Mommy!  There are shoes!  There are shoes by the river!

Careful Dani, don’t get to close!

Mommy, there are shoes, but the shoes are hard and filled with stones.

Get away from there Dani, do as I say, you’re scaring me.

Mommy, why are the shoes hard and filled with stones?

The shoes are no concern of ours Dani, come now!

But Mommy look!  There are girl shoes and boy shoes and mommy shoes and daddy shoes!

Dani, we are in a hurry and it is cold by the river, come at once.

But, Mommy, where are the people that left the shoes?

And Mommy why do some shoes not have their mates?

Mommy, where are the people that left the shoes?

Dani, neither the shoes or the people are our concern, come now, I say!

Mommy, do you think these people are in the river?

Do you think they’re in the river Mommy?

If you’re not careful, you’ll be in the river Dani?

Don’t you know how cold that water is in this weather, Dani?

Do you think the people jumped in the river, Mommy?

No! Who would do such a thing? Besides, it is no business of ours.

Why are you scared that I’m near the water Mommy?

Do you think people were scared for these people whose shoes are by the water, Mommy?

I don’t think many people cared one way or another about these shoes or the people.

I want to leave my shoes here Mommy!

Can I take off my shoes and fill them with stones, Mommy?

Dani, enough!  This place and these shoes having nothing to do with us?
