After Friday’s celebrations, where we showed the Americans how Shabbat is celebrated and sang together, we continued our 25-hour digital detox. We started with a kosher breakfast followed by a morning service led by Rabbi Drill. During the service, one of our students delivered an exquisite aliyah. After lunch, we had a personal conversation with the Rabbi about her journey in Torah study. Then, as is customary on Saturdays, half of us caught up on sleep lost during the week, while the other half played intense basketball above their heads. Our Shabbat concluded with a seminar by Gafna and Jakub, which brought us back to our Jewish roots and concluded our education on Jewish leadership. We ended Saturday with a treat, I <3 Israel ice cream, returning to our host families for our final evening.
