Israel Connection Day

We started the day early, it was raining heavily. We had a wonderful breakfast with our host family. We ate cereal and some hummus sandwiches.

At 8.10 we arrived at school, came to Beit Midrash and had the first meeting of the day. We discussed the plans, tasks and the presentations, because at 10.15 we went to the middle school kids. We started the game with the students, we explained the rules, and started having fun.

Afterwards, we visited the nursery school. They were so cute and tiny. All the kids were smiling, and when we started talking to them, they were paying attention really quickly. We taught them Süss fel nap, whose Hungarian equivalent is Rain, rain, go away. The babies were so cute, they sang it with us and enjoyed it so much.

Then we had a break, had some snacks, water and talked with our friends.

At 12.15 we had a wonderful lunch, we ate rice and meatballs with tomato sauce, and had some salad with tomato, cucumber and ranch dressing. It was delicious, we were so full.

We had an hour-long break, and started preparing for the next program.

At 1.25pm we went to the lower school to the 3rd graders. They were the cutest, they made notes about the power point that we made, and they loved the folk tale.

Our hosts lovely mom picked us up, and we went shopping. We got to a mall, and bought some lovely stuff.

We had such an amazing “early dinner”. It was special because it was made in Israeli style.

After dinner we saw a play on stage made and performed by middle school kids, whose title was Finding Nemo. It was the most wonderful play we had ever seen!

We got home at 9.00 and the day ended with a hot shower and we went to bed.
