State House of Maryland, Naval Academy

We woke up at 6:50am and started getting ready with some deer outside the window.

When we got to the school, our hosts dropped us of at a different part of the school that we were slightly familiar with, but because they had to rush, we were alone to find our way to the cafeteria. It went easily, so we were really proud of ourselves.

When we got there, there were bagels that we started making for our trip that led us to Annapolis.

First of all we went to the State House of Maryland, where we had a chance to listen how the senators were voting about certain issues. What is more, we were officially honored by a declaration in which some senators and delegates officially express their gratitude for our Gesher Ambassador Program.

After that we went to the Naval Academy. We had such a sunny day, everyone was so happy to have some sunshine for the first time of the week, but then out of nothing it started raining.

Our next stop was to see the soldiers getting ready for a meal, it was really interesting. We had been standing there for a while when it started raining very heavily, and then it turned into hail. Soon after we started to rush to a shelter.

At 12:00 the tour guide showed us the military synagogue. We went to the main area, and our coach also said a few prayers. It was beautiful. After that we went around the whole building.

The last stop was at a training ship, where Noam Bezalel who fought in Israel for two years had a speech about his experiences and his job.

Then we had a little free time in Annapolis to explore the place. Together with the girls we went to Starbucks and talked a little while the others went to different places. Then we gathered together and we boarded the bus that took us back to the school.

At 4:15pm we finished our programs in school and we were free to go wherever we wanted to with our host families.

Some of us went to the Sephora and the Marshalls.

Others went to the mall and then Walmart. They also had a really great time.
